Games Adds New Director Of Sports

ST. GEORGE, Utah — March 22, 2024 — The Huntsman World Senior Games is excited to announce an addition to the organizing team. Den Dutson will fill the role of Director of Sports, acting as liaison and facilitator for the various sports offered at the Games.

Dutson brings a wealth of diverse experience and a proven track record of success to the Director of Sports position. As the former owner and operator of Denda Academy, where he amassed an impressive 18 Best of State awards, Dutson honed invaluable skills in communication, problem-solving, and team leadership. His dedication to fostering an atmosphere of improvement and fun within organizations is evident in his belief that effective leadership and a hardworking volunteer team are essential for enhancing an athlete’s experience. He couples this commitment with a passion for excellence, to aid in the continual improvement of events within the Huntsman World Senior Games.

"Den really brings an athlete's perspective to the position," says Kyle M Case, Games CEO. "He's excelled at combat sports his whole life, even bringing home a world champion title. That kind of success and drive will make a difference on our team. We're excited to have him."

Dutson actively contributes to community service and youth development initiatives. He has been involved in organizing international sports events and leading programs aimed at fostering leadership and personal growth among participants. Dutson is a Utah native but lived in Asia for 7 years where he attended Seoul National University and is also a graduate of Brigham Young University.

He and his wife are now empty nesters and have lived in St. George for 2.5 years. His motto is “to do is to become” and looks forward to serving the amazing volunteers and athletes of the Huntsman World Senior Games for years to come.

The Huntsman World Senior Games is the largest annual multi-sport event in the world for athletes age 50 and better. Every October more than 11,500 athletes compete in their choice of 30 plus sports in St. George, Utah, USA.
