REGISTRATION RULES:
• Swimmer's Age Division for competition will be determined by their age on December 31, 2025. National records will be based on swimmer’s age according to the requirements of the national organization for a short course meters event (December 31, 2019–Article 102.2.2-Age Determining Date).
• Participants may enter a maximum of nine events, swimming no more than three individual events/day. No changes will be accepted after September 1.
• No Times (NTs) are not accepted for the 800m and 1500m Freestyle events. The entry cut-off time for the 800m is 30 minutes and for the 1500m the cut-off time is 50 minutes. Any swimmer entering with a slower time will not be seeded or allowed to swim. Swimmers not finished after the cut-off times may be disqualified.
• Per rule 201.1.3 B - Pool One-Event Registration—A LMSC (Local Masters Swimming Committee), may offer a single-event registration that allows an athlete to participate in one swim meet sanctioned by that LMSC. Membership cards shall not be issued for one-event registration. One-event registrants shall be identified as such in the meet results (OEVT). One-event registrants must be considered unattached and agree to be governed by the rules and regulations of USMS, except that their times shall not be considered for Top 10 tabulation and USMS or world records, All-American status, or any other USMS special awards.
• International swimmers must get a USMS one event registration in order to participate. To set any USMS records, swimmers need to have a USMS membership that affiliates them with an LMSC.
• To be considered for a Top 10 record you must be affiliated with a recognized USMS LMSC. Athletes are ultimately responsible for submitting their times to their LMSC person and for providing the documentation, including pool measurement verification if necessary. Meet Officials can assist in the process.
CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS:
• All Swimmers must check-in at the Dixie Center, 1835 South Convention Center Drive, St. George, Utah, between Sunday, Oct. 5 and Tuesday, Oct. 7. At that time they will receive their Huntsman World Senior Games ID Badge, athlete shirt and welcome bag. Athletes must notify Huntsman World Senior Games staff if they are unable to check in at EMAIL TBD
• In addition, Athletes should notify Huntsman World Senior Games staff at time of check in if they will NOT be participating in any of the events they have registered for. Huntsman World Senior Games staff will then notify Meet Officials. Participants in the 200m Fly, 400m Free, 400m IM, 800m Free and 1500m Free events must also check in at the Utah Tech University Human Performance Center 291 S 700 E, St. George, Utah 84770 to compete on the day of their event by 9:30am. Swimmers who do not check-in by this time will be scratched from their event unless prior arrangements have been made. A sign in sheet will be available at the Meet Official booth. We also ask athletes to provide their own lap counter for 400m Free, 800m Free, and 1500m Free events.
• Repeat, all swimmers entered in the 200m Fly, 400m Free, 400m IM, 800m Free and/or the 1500m Free must also sign-in at the Meet Official's booth (positive check in) the morning of the event by 9:30 am or they will be scratched from the event.

Events in this order: 400m IM, 50m Backstroke, 100m Freestyle, 200m Breaststroke, 100m Butterfly, 20 minute warmup/Break, 400m Freestyle.
Thursday, Oct. 9 – 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Warm-ups begin at 8:00 am. Block start warm-ups begin at 8:30 am or when Meet Referee announces.
Events in this order: 100m IM, 200m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly, 100m Backstroke, 100m Breaststroke, 200m Butterfly, 20 minute warm-up/break, 800m Freestyle.
Friday, Oct. 10 – 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Warm-ups begin at 8:00 am. Block start warm-ups begin at 8:30 am or when Meet Referee announces.
Events in this order: 200m IM, 50m Breaststroke, 50m Freestyle, 200m Backstroke, 20 minute warm-up/break, 1500m Freestyle.
Participation note: Light refreshments will be provided for athletes and are available in the lobby of the pool entrance area. Athletes should bring their own water bottle. Water fountains are available at the pool. Lost and found items will be stored at the refreshment table in the pool lobby.
EARLY PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
Practice available Monday, Oct. 6 - 9:00 am - 11:00 am and/or 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm (must have Huntsman World Senior Games ID badge to practice)
Practice available Tuesday, Oct. 7 - 9:00 am - 11:00 am and/or 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm (must have Huntsman World Senior Games ID badge to practice)
WARM-UPS - When warming up, swimmers must enter the competition pool feet first in a cautious and controlled manner. No diving or backstroke starts will be allowed until lanes are opened by the Meet Official. Any swimmer who acts in an unsporting or unsafe manner within the swimming venue may be considered for appropriate action or penalty by the Meet Official (rule 102.13.3). Swim equipment is not allowed in the competition or warm-up pools. This includes pull-buoys, kickboards, fins, hand paddles, snorkels, etc.
FORMAT/RULES:
• The Huntsman World Senior Games swim event is Sanctioned by Utah Masters for USMS, Inc. (Sanction #345-S003) - USMS rules will apply. Current USMS membership for all participants is required. To purchase or renew memberships, go to www.usms.org.
• Non-USMS members may purchase a one event membership for a fee of $20.00 during registration (See one-event registration rules above). International swimmers must get a USMS one event registration in order to participate.
• To be considered for a Top 10 record you must be affiliated with a USMS LMSC.
• The official times from this meet may be submitted for World Records, USMS records and USMS Top 10 considerations for currently-registered USMS members. The times for one-event registrants will not be considered for USMS records and Top 10 times.
• No Kinesiology tape can be used during competitions.
• Participants may start in the pool, or from the deck, instead of from the diving blocks, if they prefer.
• This meet will be run as timed finals. For all events except the 200m Fly, 400m Freestyle, 400m IM, 800m Free and 1500m Free distance events, all women will compete first, by age division, then all men will compete, by age division. We reserve the right to combine heats (age groups) to avoid excessive empty lanes.
• The following events will be run as combined/mixed men's and women's events, seeded by time and scored by age division. They will be seeded and swum fastest to slowest. Positive check in will be required:
400m IM check-in due by 8:30 Wednesday morning
400m Freestyle check-in due by 9:30 Wednesday morning
200m Butterfly check-in due by 9:30 Thursday morning
800m Freestyle check-in due by 9:30 Thursday morning
1500m Freestyle check-in due by 9:30 Friday morning
• Heat sheets for each day's events will be available each morning prior to the start of the first event and will be posted in four areas: the wall next to the Meet Referee booth, the wall outside the locker rooms, wall near the medals area, and the spectator area. Psych sheets will be available online by September 26th. Link will be available at that time.
• Swimmers who No Show for two events may be scratched from the rest of their events unless they contact the Meet Referee. Email TBD
• Deck access is limited to swimmers, coaches, Meet Officials, and meet volunteers.
“DISTANCE" EVENTS:
• Distance events are the 200m Fly, 400m Individual Medley, 400m Freestyle, 800m Freestyle and 1500m Freestyle.
• There will be a 20 minute break before the start of the 400m, 800m and 1500m Free events.
• For the 200m Fly, 400m Free, 800m Free, and 1500m Free, swimmers must sign-in at the Meet Official's booth the morning of the event by 9:30 am or they will be scratched from the event.
• Events will be run as a combined men's and women's event, seeded by time and scored by age division.
• Events will be seeded and swum fastest to slowest.
• To enter the 800m Free and 1500m Free, swimmers must enter a time in the space provided on the registration form.
• Except for the 800m Free and 1500m Free, swimmers without a time for any of the distance events will be seeded in the slowest heat.
• The entry cut-off time for the 800m Free is 30 minutes and for the 1500m Free the cut-off time is 50 minutes. Any swimmer entering with a slower time will not be seeded or allowed to swim. Swimmers not finished after the cut-off times may be disqualified and must exit the pool immediately.

Pool Specifications: Indoor 25-meter pool with eight (8) lanes and starting blocks. Start End Water Depth: 6.5 feet @ 1 meter from wall; 8.0 feet @ 5 meters from wall. Turn End Water Depth: 3.5 feet @ 1 meter from wall; 5.0 feet @ 5 meters from the wall. Please Note: The length of the competition course is not on file with USMS. Eligibility of times achieved in this meet will be contingent upon pool length measurement and approval with USMS; if bulkheads are present, their placement must also be confirmed by measurements at the meet (USMS articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1)
Timing: Colorado Timing System with a horn start - Any athlete with a hearing impairment may request starting assistance from the Meet Official prior to the start of the meet at Email TBD. The request must be made prior to the start of the meet. If portable strobes are available, one may be located in a manner to provide a visual aid. Otherwise, another appropriate method may be employed to visually assist the affected swimmer.
A warm-up pool will be available at all times during the meet.
University lifeguards will be on duty at all times during the meet, as well as an on site AED. This assistance is available to athletes participating in the meet (202.4.11N).
MEDALS:
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals as well as 4th, 5th and 6th place ribbons will be awarded in each event for each age division. Medals for the morning events will be awarded each day prior to the start of the last distance event. Medals for the 400m Freestyle and 800m Freestyle will be awarded the following day, prior to the start of the first event. Medals for the 1500m Freestyle will be awarded at the conclusion of the event.
All swimmers must show Huntsman World Senior Games ID badge to pick up medals/ribbons. No family or friends will be allowed to pick up unless prior arrangements have been made with World Senior Games staff.
