Volunteers are the life-blood of the Huntsman World Senior Games. For the past thirty-three years they have been an integral part of the athlete experience. Each October a volunteer workforce of 3000+ men and women is needed to provide a memorable experience for over 11,000 participants who come to compete.
"We have an incredibly supportive community here in St. George. We rely so much on the community's help. We've also found over the years that some of our best volunteers also happen to be our athletes and their supporters," commented Kyle M Case, Games CEO. "We encourage anyone who is available to catch the spirit of the Games and help make it happen by volunteering."
Volunteer assignments range from delivering fruit to greeting athletes as they arrive to check in. The Games needs volunteers to work in the gift shop, transport athletes to and from their competition venues, answer questions at the information desk, usher the opening ceremonies, and provide medical support at venues. Peple are also needed to check athletes in at sporting venues, assemble athlete welcome bags, run each sport’s social and much, much more.
