Well, with the last ping of the softball bat and bounce of the volleyball as it hits the floor for the final point, the 35th (yee haw) Huntsman World Senior Games come to a close. We thought a lot about John Morgan this year, being our first Games without him. I know we all made new friendships and strengthened old ones. I saw so many smiles and warm hugs among athletes and volunteers. I'll miss the distinctive jingle of medals placed around necks and the pride in your eyes as you display them, a physical representation of all the hard work and dedication that it takes to earn gold, silver and bronze. I also know that, like every year, the Games weren't perfect. We had some bumps and bruises, maybe a missed call or two and maybe even a mistake made along the way. Thank you for your generosity in so often turning a blind eye.
Even so, I think John would be proud of each of our efforts to continue to fulfil his dream of fostering worldwide peace, health and friendship. We are going to keep striving to meet your needs and exceed your expectations and to always try to make the Games "better than ever." And as always, we invite each of you to come along for the ride. Plan to compete next year, when the Games take place October 9 - 21, 2023.
Sincerely,
