Events like the Huntsman World Senior Games simply would not happen without the generosity of individuals who are willing to share their time, talents and expertise. Nothing would get done without our volunteers.
Did you know that it takes about 3,000 volunteers to pull off the Games each year? The community of St. George, Utah, has been built on the spirit of volunteering and the Games have been the beneficiary to be sure.
This year the Games has partnered with Greater Zion to bring you the Greater Zion Volunteer Hub. The Volunteer Hub is a new volunteer reward program designed to better recognize volunteerism at key events in the area. Points are earned for each shift that you volunteer for and can be redeemed for Amazon items, gift cards to area businesses, tickets to events, deals and more!
It’s easy to create an account. Once you do, you can accumulate points across events. Whether you’re welcoming senior athletes from around the world at check-in for the Huntsman World Senior Games, handing water cups to thirsty runners at the St. George Marathon or helping at a transition station for the Ironman, your points can add up. Families and groups can even pool their points for bigger rewards. Once you sign up to volunteer, information will be forwarded to you about how to create an account with the Greater Zion Volunteer Hub and claim and redeem your points.
In addition to the Volunteer Hub, all volunteers for the Huntsman World Senior Games will receive a commemorative T-Shirt, a meal voucher to be used at the inaugural Friendship Festival and will be automatically entered to win an ebike from Charge Bikes. And perhaps more important than that, you’ll have the opportunity to be inspired by some of the most fantastic athletes ever assembled.
Volunteer opportunities are available to local community members as well as athletes, official fans and other guests.
