The first week of the two week long Huntsman World Senior Games comes to a close with medal matches being contested for multiple sports, including tennis, basketball, softball and cowboy action shooting. The triathlon was also held today under blue skies with fast times being reported.
Athletes, many volunteers and staff will take a break from competition tomorrow, Sunday, October 14 to allow for second week athletes to check-in for their competitions. The Dixie Convention Center will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Endurance Awards will take place for those receiving 20, 25, 30 and all 32 year recognition at 2:00 p.m. and 15 year recognitions at 4:00 p.m.
Men's 5-on-5 basketball, bowling, mountain biking, pickleball and more will be start back up on Monday, October 15. Remember that the free Concert & Celebration will take place on Tuesday, October 16, at the Dixie State University Burns Arena. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the rock and roll of the Famous Unkowns starts at 7:00 p.m.
