Games Adds Additional Director of Sport

In an effort to enhance the customer experience that the Huntsman World Senior Games athletes expect, the Games is excited to announce the addition of new team member.

Michael Hale, a Washington state native, is new to the area but is quickly learning to love the beautiful, unique landscape and the wonderful people of Greater Zion. Michael and his wife of four years have an 18-minth old daughter that loves exploring the red rocks. They are excited to grow their family in such an adventure-filled and family friendly environment. They are always looking for volunteering opportunities and other ways to give back to the community.

Michael Hale will join the team of sports directors including John “Rosey” Rosander and recent addition Den Dutson. This team will work directly with the various directors of each sport offered at the Games, offering logistical support that will ultimately enhance the athlete experience.

“We feel good about the direction we’re headed with this team and are confident that with Michael’s addition, we’ll be able to put on an even better Games,” said Kyle M Case, Games CEO. “Michael comes from the parks and recreation world and knows what it takes to put on great events. He’s already making a mark in his position.”

Having graduated from Brigham Young University - Idaho in 2022 with a Recreation Management degree, Michael has spent his entire professional life working in Parks and Recreation, coordinating and creating programs for thousands of youth, adults, and seniors. He loves seeing the joy that people experience from sports and other programs. He says the hard work that goes into creating positive experiences for others is always worth it!

Michael is looking forward to the challenging and rewarding environment that the Huntsman World Senior Games provides, as well as learning from the amazing team of athletes, directors, and volunteers that are pivotal to creating the event. Michael is also excited to meet people from all around the world who bring different perspectives that continue to further the mission of the Games.

Michael has seen the importance of active aging in family members and friends that have stayed active. He has been inspired by the amazing senior athletes around him and has rededicated himself in his own personal health journey.

“The importance of staying active throughout your entire life cannot be overstated and I’m excited to be part of that vision for the Huntsman World Senior Games!” said Michael.
