Day Two Features Sports and Ceremonies

The second day of competition of the Huntsman World Senior Games kicks off Tuesday, October 6, 2009 with a variety of sports as well as the spectacular Opening Ceremonies.

“The first day went very well.  Competitions got under way and the athletes seem to be having a ball,” said Kyle M Case, CEO.  “Tuesday’s highlight will be the Ceremonies.  I’ve been to the rehearsals, and this show is going to knock your socks off.”

The Opening Ceremonies will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Hansen Stadium at Dixie State College.  Athletes are encouraged to arrive at 6:30 p.m. to prepare for the Parade of Athletes.  The show is free and the public is invited and encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit in the end zones.

Results will be made available as they are received from the various events.  They can be found on the Results Page.

Tuesday’s schedule is as follows:

8:00 a.m. – Tennis
8:30 a.m. – Softball – Men (60+ & 65+)
9:00 a.m. – Cycling Hill Climb
9:00 a.m. – Cowboy Action Shooting
9:00 a.m. – Square Dancing
9:00 a.m. – Track & Field
9:00 a.m. – Table Tennis
9:00 a.m. – Basketball 3x3 Women
9:00 a.m. – Lawn Bowls 

7:00 p.m. – Opening Ceremonies
