Art In Kayenta
Coyote Gulch Art Village (community of Kayenta, City of Ivins - 7 miles west of St. George) Oct. 11, 12, 13 - This 15th annual art festival features amazing national artists from all over the country, offering a broad spectrum of art for every taste - watercolors, metal art, jewelry, pottery, photography and more. The Fall Gallery Walk will be held Friday, October 11, from 6:00-9:00pm. Begin at the St. George Art Museum,
then tour the fine art galleries on Main Street, with featured local artists and live musicians in attendance. Pick up a “punch card” at the Art Museum and turn it in at Twenty-Five Main Café by 9:00 pm for the chance to win a piece of original artwork. St. George Recreation Center
Located in the center of town at 400 East 285 South, the city Recreation Center offers basketball, racquetball, volleyball courts and a weight room at a nominal daily fee. Open from 8 am to 9 pm Monday through Friday, with limited hours on Saturday, the Recreation Center is a great option for youth and adults to sharpen their athletic skills.
Sand Hollow Aquatics Center
Off Sunset Boulevard, at 1144 North Lava Flow Drive (435-634-5938), is a wonderfully wet, aquatics center with waveless indoor pools, outdoor volleyball courts, picnic area, and sunny decks for soaking up those glorious southwest rays. The center is also the home of the Huntsman World Senior Games Swimming and Triathlon competitions.
